Held over four Sundays in october 2025 (4,11,18, &250) 9 AM-1 PM at LimaYoga Conquistadores, each session will focus on a key theme:
Week 1: Arm Balances Level 1
Week 2: Arm Balances Level 2
Week 3: Flexibility: Splits and Hip Openers
Week 4: Flexibility: Backbends and Hip Openers

Welcome to "Mastering Advanced Postures: Techniques for Practice and Instruction", a 20-hour continuing education training designed to help yoga teachers and certified practitioners deepen their understanding and mastery of advanced yoga postures. Over the course of two weekends, we will explore arm balances, inversions, backbends, and hip openers—building both the skills to perform these poses and the confidence to teach them to others.
This training focuses on safely practicing and instructing advanced asanas through anatomical awareness, progressive drills, and hands-on assisting techniques. You will gain the tools to understand your body’s mechanics, overcome mental barriers, and provide effective guidance for students in challenging postures. We will cover key arm balances, inversions, backbends, and hip openers, with plenty of practice and opportunities to refine your teaching skills.
by the end of this course, you will be able to:
Confidently perform and demonstrate key advanced postures, including handstands, crow variations, and deep backbends.
Safely assist and adjust students in challenging asanas with knowledge of anatomy and proper technique.
Build effective class sequences that prepare students for advanced poses.
Incorporate advanced asanas into your regular classes, with attention to alignment, safety, and accessibility.
